Levi Atkinson is a multimedia artist living in Los Angeles. He is a graduate from Carleton College double majoring in Studio Art and Art History with a focus in printmaking. His practice explores memory, manipulation, and human relationships with the idea of place. Growing up on the lush island of Guam, the natural world has always been a focal influence in his work.

Levi is interested in continuing his exploration of woodcut relief printmaking with the incorporation of painting & drawing. He incorporates an experimental approach to the process through selective hand printing, collaging, and varying printing surfaces (carved wood, found materials, textured plexiglass, etc). He explores how people control and manipulate space, tracing their evolutions over time. In his work he often juxtaposes architecture and human constructed forms, such as a fence or series of power lines with an abstracted landscape. Levi wishes to further explore the notion that humans are a natural part of ecosystems, yet often deeply dissociated from them or their history due to years of industrialization.
