David Ereira OBE
davidereira@quinnemanuel.comDavid Ereira is a partner in Quinn Emanuel’s London office where he works on contentious restructuring and insolvency cases in England and internationally. He joined the firm in 2024 to combine his extensive restructuring transactional experience with Quinn’s leading disputes practice. He has represented debtors, creditors, shareholders, management governments, insolvency practitioners and investors on all aspects of situations involving financial distress. He has worked on many difficult and complex restructurings including acting for the administrators of Lehman Brothers International Europe, the creditors of NMC Healthcare, the successful rescue investors in the Co-operative Bank and most recently the dissenting class of creditors on Thames Water.
He has extensive experience in the resolution of failing banks and regulated financial institutions. He has also worked closely with investors in distressed real estate and asset-based transactions. David was chairman of the UK Insolvency Service and received an OBE for services to insolvency. He is actively involved in several insolvency organisations and professional committees.
