Prof. Dr. Hans-Christoph Ihrig

He has been advising companies – predominantly exchange-listed corporates – and their shareholders and executive bodies for more than three decades.
Matters to which he brings particular insight and experience include corporate law, with a focus on the law of stock corporations and corporate groups, transformation law, capital markets law and the law of public company acquisitions.
Hans-Christoph’s clients number a wide range of exchange-listed companies, including DAX-40 members. Boardroom advice, in particular in connection with structural adjustments and major transactions, in an integral part of Hans-Christoph’s work.
Prior to founding his own law firm, Hans-Christoph was a Partner at Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz in Mannheim until 2000. From 2000 to 2017, he was a partner at Allen & Overy in Frankfurt.
Since 2018, Hans-Christoph is an honorary professor at the University of Mannheim.
Christoph has been ranked by JUVE as leading senior lawyer in Corporate Law for numerous years and was most recently ranked by the 2024/2025 JUVE Handbuch for Dispute Resolution in Germany, with competitors calling him “highly experienced” in this field.
