Lucas Loviscek is a partner in Quinn Emanuel’s Washington D.C. office with more than fifteen years of experience successfully representing clients in investment and commercial arbitration and complex litigation. Lucas represents clients in high-stakes disputes and arbitrations administered under major rules and institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Center for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and UNCITRAL.

His experience spans pre-dispute negotiation, conduction of proceedings, discovery proceedings and recognition and enforcement of judicial decisions and awards. Lucas is qualified in the U.S. and in Argentina,and has extensive experience litigating under both civil and common law systems, and international law.

Lucas has represented clients in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, mining, energy, maritime commerce, infrastructure, automobile, financial services, security and telecommunications. Legal 500 has named him as a recommended lawyer for International Arbitration and Litigation (2023) and Lawdragon 500 has recognized him as a leading lawyer in global energy disputes and litigation (2023-2024).

Prior to joining the firm, Lucas worked as a litigation and arbitration senior counsel in one of the leading law firms in Argentina.
